ANGER

ANGER MANAGEMENT
‘A Hungry man is an angry man....’
“Anger is nothing but an attachment for
An object when expressed towards an
Obstacle between ourselves and the
Object of our attachment.”
Swami Chinmayananda

Long Term Solutions
The Gita Says:
Attachment is the root cause of fear and anger.
One who is detached becomes peaceful.
• 'Through the company of good, one becomes detached.’
• Non-violence, truth, sacrifice, peace, and absence of crookedness and anger are the qualities of the strong and divine.
• De-condition yourself from the false thinking that an angry person is powerful, dynamic, and successful.
• As the food, so the mind. Take sattvik food-Simple, wholesome, and nutritious.
• They are in me, I am not in them. Anger is in me. I am not in it. Be a witness. Anger arises, stays, and dissolves in me.

Verses from Bhaghavad Gita Chapter 11.62.63 trace the causes and effects of anger in eight steps as follows: Brooding over the sense objects-Attachment->Desire->Anger (Unfulfilled desire)-Delusion-> Loss of memory->Power of discrimination->one perishes.
